How to grow without being everywhere by showing up where it matters most — and love it.

Let’s set the scene. It’s a Wednesday afternoon, and I’m on a Zoom call for Video Cash Creator with the brilliant Gulce. My steaming London Fog is within arm’s reach, filling the room with that cozy hint of bergamot and vanilla. My YouTube channel — beautifully branded, naturally, because I am incapable of bad design in any corner of my life — is quietly sitting there, freshly launched, with two videos and… not much else.

We’re at the end of the session, the classic last call for questions moment, and I unmute. My voice is halting, a little searching — that familiar mix of vulnerability and strategy swirling together.

“So… my YouTube channel has no views, no subscribers… how do I… actually grow this thing? What’s the plan to build momentum here?”

Because here’s the thing: I’ve designed and branded many YouTube channels for powerhouse clients. I know it’s a long game. A slow build. I teach this stuff. And yet — in that moment — I needed what every creative, every entrepreneur, every ambitious human craves: validation. A plan. Proof that this tiny spark meant something.

Gulce, with grace and wisdom, smiled and said, “Your second video got 11 views in three days. Your first one had 2 views in five months. That’s growth. That’s momentum. That matters.”

And you know what’s wild? A year ago, if you’d told me I’d be making videos for my business, I would’ve laughed. Not in a “maybe someday” way — in a “no chance in hell” kind of way. Video felt like this thing other people did. The bold, the extroverted, the forever-camera-ready crowd.

When Human Design Told Me to Stop Podcasting and Start Showing Up on Video

Then came Elevate & Inspire — a gathering of brilliant, entrepreneurial women. That’s where Human Design expert Adriana Keefe read my chart and casually flipped my world on its head. I expected the usual — you’re a creative, you love visuals, all the typical buzz. “Podcasting isn’t your thing,” she said. “But video? You’d be magnetic. It’s aligned.”

I was shocked. And as it turns out… she was right. I love it. I feel more alive, more connected, and honestly — more me on video than I ever imagined possible.
